A Book

I wonder, if someone were to spend a whole summer in the city of Manhattan taking photos and THEN made those photos into a book, would anyone buy it?

Summer so far...

We've had Tornadoes, News Conferences, Cricket and all sorts of things. Here are some photos.

The tornado that touched down through parts of Manhattan Wednesday, June 11th deposited some familiar items, including a Twister game that was dropped into Memorial Stadium.

Cars bore much of the brunt of the tornado on Wednesday, June 11th, including this car that lost four out of six windows.

Kansas State University President Jon Wefald answers reporters questions Thursday afternoon June 12th at the Manhattan Regional Airport about the damage done to the University campus and the recovery efforts underway. Wefald estimated that the initial damage done to the campus was somewhere near $20 million.

Jim Jones, Ogden, Kansas resident, surveys the devestation done in the Miller Ranch area of Manhattan Thursday afternoon June 12th. The area around Amehurst avenue was among the most widely damaged in Manhattan by the Tornado Wednesday night.

Sonya Garwood, Manhattan resident, takes a break Thursday afternoon June 12th while helping her family salvage their belongings after the Wednesday night tornado. Sonya explained that this used to be the entryway into the house but was now blocked by what was formerly the garage.

Among the lightly damaged belongings left over after the Tornado was this set of golf clubs and United States flag. Many people emerged from their basements to find their house missing a roof or more and a good deal of their belongings strewn about Manhattan.

It has been awhile since I last edited this thing. Heck, I don't even know if anyone looks at it. Anyway, here are some photos that I shot down in sunny California this past week. Sweet, sweet California, how I wish I could be back there...
